About this product +

Producer >

A family owned business based in Aragón, Spain, passionate about  producing high quality wines with a particular focus on the native Garnacha variety. Owner and winemaker is Norrel Robertson MW, he drives forward their believe that quality is born in the vineyard, endeavouring to make  authentic wines that are the true expression of their terroir.  Sustainability starts with the rescue of old vines, no irrigation, no over cropping, no pesticides. They create their own biochar from vine prunings to sequester carbon, bottles are light, labels are made from sugar cane and hemp paper. Sharon and Norrel continue to build their family business for the future.

Viticulture >

High altitude vineyards, quite a rare grape variety only found around the village of Villamalea. A true discovery. The winery employs strictly organic practices, avoiding pesticides and utilising a winter cover crop. They generate their own biochar from vine cuttings to their reduce carbon footprint.

Winemaking >

Norrel Robertson is a champion of Spain’s old vines and forgotten grape varieties. The grapes are handpicked, slowly fermented and lees aged, the result is a zesty, lemony, rounded and intense wine. Cleverly bottled in lightweight glass which is 88% recycled content. The labels are manufactured from sustainable sugar cane and hemp paper
