"Deep and dark color, result of well-ripened harvests and harvested at the right time.
Expressive nose declining on spicy notes (licorice...) and fine oak.
Its attack is sweet, the wine is very generous in the mouth thanks to a dense tannic mesh but well softened by a meticulous and long aging.
Wine often impregnated with candied or black fruits. Great structure, pledge of a long guard."

Whilst the old Médoc Seigneuries were in the hands of the Bordeaux nobility and became top wine estates, Du Tertre left the Arsac Seigneury and in 1724 was purchased by Pierre Mitchell, an Irishman, who was the leading bottle manufacturer of the Bordeaux region.
