Viticulture

Kalak Vodka Kalak is a phonetic spelling of “Cailleach”, the Irish Celtic Goddess and Queen of Winter. Kalak was the closest thing the celts had to mother nature. After almost three year of distillation trials, and input from some of the best distilling minds in the world, Kalak Single Malt Vodka was launched in mid 2015. Kalak is meticulously crafted from the best of Irish malted barley, and pure mountain water. Four times pot distilled in West Cork, it is pure, smooth and intriguingly complex. Kalak has since gained a ‘democratic’ following around the world, appealing to both premium vodka drinkers and Whisky lovers.

Winemaking

ORNABRAK GIN Crafted from 100% Irish malted barley and four times copper pot distilled, our unique single malt spirit is then distilled a fifth time with five carefully selected botanicals to create this complex and floral Irish Single Malt Gin. Patrick Shelley, Founder Origin Spirits, said,“Ornabrak is one of very few Single Malt Gin’s in the world and its creation was quite a challenge as we needed the malted barley’s richness and creaminess to shine through, while creating a harmonious balance with the botanicals.” CURRACH SINGLE MALT IRISH WHISKEY Using the finest of Irish malted barley, our contemporary single malt whiskey is triple distilled before being aged in ex-bourbon casks. We then finish our whiskey for three months in unique American virgin oak casks which we have charred using Irish seaweed as our fuel source. It’s this perfect union of the Irish land and sea that creates a rich multi-layered whiskey with a delicate umami character
