Poderi Luigi Einaudi

Poderi Luigi Einaudi

Matteo Sardagna is the 4th generation of this 60ha estate. Since 2001 Matteo has been working on his Barolos with famed oenologist Beppe Caviola. He has been purchasing some of Barolo’s most esteemed vineyards. The wines of this estate have huge expression, classic Barolo tones, layered in complexity.

Four generations of Einaudi: the history of the Poderi is a family story.

Matteo Sardagna Einaudi carries on, with passion and intuition, the family tradition and at the same time impressing new perspectives, on a name already emblematic in the international wine world.

“We want to produce and enhance wines that can convey emotion and act as ambassadors of a unique rural and cultural universe: our Langhe.”

Matteo Sardagna Einaudi

Viticulture

Excellence: starting with the vineyard Today the Winery has 150 hectares of property and about 75 hectares of vineyards that cross the Langhe diagonally and, starting from Dogliani, historic heart of the property, reach Neive after touching Barolo, Monforte d’Alba and Verduno. Generation after generation, in a slow process of precious acquisitions, Poderi Luigi Einaudi has continued to strengthen that strong bond with the territory that has been and is the soul of the company. A Earth Culture, theorized by the founder, which is still expressed today in rigor and farsightedness, but also in a “sentimental rootedness” which makes Poderi much more than a business.

Winemaking

125 years of Earth Culture Poderi Luigi Einaudi was founded in Dogliani in 1897 by Luigi Einaudi, whose name it bears. The company has never ceased to be the thinking and driving force of the fine Piedmontese winemaking tradition.
