Tindal Wine Merchants is committed to responsible and sustainable business practices, ensuring that everything we do across all aspects of the business, is good for the people we work with, good for the products we sell and good for the planet.
In our vision to become Irelands Leading Wine Merchant, TWM provides outstanding wines and leading customer experience by real people. As an independent merchant we source a diverse range of wines direct from sustainably focussed producers globally for strong representation among leading on-trade and independent retail in Ireland.
Champions of the wine trade, driven by our professional and knowledgeable team we’re careful to mind those less fortunate than ourselves as we chose productive work within a balanced lifestyle.
Our Ethical Policy
Tindal Wine Merchants employees and supplier partners who do have employees shall treat all employees according to ethical principles including that:
Employment is freely chosen;
Working conditions are safe and hygienic;
Child labour shall not be used;
Living wages are paid, wages and other benefits meet or exceed national legal standards and minimum wage agreements;
Working hours are not excessive: these must comply with national laws;
No discrimination is practiced: all employees must be treated fairly and equally regardless of sex, race, nationality, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
Ensure that products, services and shipments adhere to all applicable international trade compliance laws, rules and regulations.
Our Social Policy
In addition to the above, Tindal Wine Merchants and our supplier partners shall act in a socially responsible manner and make decisions taking into account the rights, interests and wellbeing of their employees and their local community.
Our Environmental Policy
Tindal Wine Merchants and our supplier partners shall consider the impact of their business activities on the environment in their decision-making, and strive to reduce this impact, prioritising sustainable options where viable.
Going Forward
In the future we will continue to support farmers around the world who preserve eco-systems, communities and natural capital within their craft and traditions. In turn we’ll promote the feel good, social value experienced when sharing good wine and food with fun people. The value of these initiatives, home and abroad is overlooked in today’s globalised, fast and tech heavy society.
In the course of our work, we shall make informed decisions to minimise our impact on theenvironment and aid social equality among communities we touch along the way.
