            [Notes1] =>
            [Notes2] => The estate covers 3.5 hectares across 40 separate parcels of vineyard. The steeply sided vineyards are composed of grey/brown slate and iron rich loess and due to their gradient are entirely worked by hand. The plots face south/south east and south west. Farming is sustainable with no herbicides used. Harvesting is done by hand. Wunschkind Riesling comes from a selection of grapes from across the estate`s different plots.

                    [Notes1] => There’s no history of generations of a family harvesting from the 40
different sites from these steep slopes on 4.5ha, rather two passionate and driven graduates of oenology looking to restore the forgotten vines of the Mosel Terassen to their former glory. Rebecca and Janina have been working as a team since 2014 striving to resurrect vines bound to a fate of neglect thanks to the difficulties associated with farming these extreme slopes and maintaining the walls that bind the levels. Plucky, ambitious girls and their equally enthusiastic husbands working the vineyards unwanted by the next generation. One of their vineyards took two years to come to production thanks to a prickly fight with the jungle of brambles that had filled any space between the vines. The wines are fermented to dryness with low sulphur used in order to
maintain vineyard expression. It is the pair’s complete investment in this area, their understanding of the soils and their expertise in the
winery that brought us to their door and this exciting range of wines.

About this product +

Viticulture >

The estate covers 3.5 hectares across 40 separate parcels of vineyard.
