Vintage 2017

Château du Tertre, Margaux 5ème Cru Classé

Product Code: DU7517RC

Tasting Notes

Dark ruby in colour, with aromas of violets and black cherry jam infused with creosote and grilled notes. Full-bodied with rich fruit, it is powerful and perfectly balanced. Fragrant, rich and expansive. "Deep and dark color, result of well-ripened harvests and harvested at the right time. Expressive nose declining on spicy notes (licorice...) and fine oak. Its attack is sweet, the wine is very generous in the mouth thanks to a dense tannic mesh but well softened by a meticulous and long aging. Wine often impregnated with candied or black fruits. Great structure, pledge of a long guard."

            [Notes2] =>
            [Notes3] =>
            [Notes4] => Château du Tertre`s history goes all the way back to the 17th century. Whilst the old Médoc Seigneuries were in the hands of the Bordeaux nobility and became top wine estates, Du Tertre left the Arsac Seigneury and in 1724 was purchased by Pierre Mitchell, an Irishman, who was the leading bottle manufacturer of the Bordeaux region.
